Come to think of it, my description of 偽君子 is exactly like "a wolf in sheep's clothing" [en.wikipedia.org]

A Wolf in sheep's clothing is an idiom of Biblical origin used to describe those playing a role contrary to their real character with whom contact is dangerous, particularly false teachers.

Also similar to 佛口蛇心 [www.cantonese.sheik.co.uk]

someone who appears to be gentle on the outside, but has bad intentions on the inside (lit. Buddha mouth, snake heart)

Also "假紳士" (pretend to be a gentleman) is different from "偽君子"(false gentleman) or "假聖人" (false saint)

"假紳士" actually means " fake being polite" It is not being used as a description of a person's character.
