He is actually not Chinese. So, I'm teaching him Cantonese to help ease the transition. From what it sounds like, the majority thinks he should call my grandparents the way I do, so I will go with that. Unless anyone else has any suggestions or strong objections.
>for the first meeting, it is more appropriate for him to address them as "respected strangers" 世伯 /伯母 for your parents, (last name)+老先生 /(last name+ 老太太) for your grandparents. Once they all get to know each others better, then he can call them the way you do.
