Hi
Is this a set phrase? If so, I would translate it as "is born because of you" but it doesn't really make sense..
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
It is not a common phrase.
'to be born' is '出生'. It is not usually shortened to 生, because 生 can also mean 'give birth'. As in '生仔' (give birth to a baby boy)
'生' here mean 生存 (alive)
因你而生 ( alive because of you)
