I came across this in a conversation and have maybe a twisted understanding of it now:
'唔係籃球嘅材料' = I'm not basketball material.
When I see this type of statement with 材料 does it mean that someone isn't into basketball (not their thing, not interested in playing it), or does it mean they just aren't good at it (even if interested they're just not able to play well).
I ask now because I'm sure I heard it two or three times before.
