How goes?

Maybe this is a stupid question but I searched all over cantodict and can't find a translation for "nei5 dim?" or "dim ah?"

It's the rather crude(?) ways of saying "how are you?" or "how's things?"

Does anyone know the character for the "dim" in the phrases?
