Translate Chinese New Years Paragraph!

I want to write a Chinese New Year paragraph. This is what I want to write: This Chinese New Year's eve, I hung Chinese new year pictures, taped Chinese words, and put up lights. Chinese New Year has arrived, I go to my parents in the living room and say Chinese new year words to them such as Happy New Year and may your body be healthy. My parents give me red envelopes and candy. The afternoon has arrived and I go have tea with my parents at home. I decide that it is time to call my grandparents to wish them a Happy New Year. After calling my family, I help mom prepare dumplings, New Year cakes, duck, and fruit. It is now dinner time and I sit with my family at the dinner table wishing them a Happy new year while eating the delicious dinner. After dinner, my family and I watch firecrackers and dancing lions on TV.

I have been able to write most of the paragraph, but I want a little help just to see if my Chinese is good. Can you help me write the 2 sentences?Also, what are your Chinese new Year's like?
