Hi
Can anyone help me with a better translation of 狼狽趕來 please? I know it is something like 'In a difficult situation quickly come' but I need to use it in a sentence and I don't really understand it so am struggling.
Many thanks
狼狽趕來 can be translated to " arrive in a frantic rush"
狼 and 狽 are two kind of wild animals, the term 狼狽 refer to their frantic movements, especially when hunting and feeding.
It became the phrase for describing someone in a frantic state ( due to embarrassment, hurry or unpreparedness)
Examples:
An embarrassing question make him very frantic, ( very frantic= 非常狼狽 (adj))
After dropped the important documents , he frantically get down on all fours to pick them up.( fanatically= 狼狽地 (adv)
