No, I was there to visit some friends of mine. But they think that being left-handed is really rare. This came up in a conversation about western countries and how they do things differently. I don't know if they mean it in a good way or a bad way. I didn't ask because there might be an offensive answer.
I'm not actually left-handed, but I have several dozen friends (not the ones I was visiting) who are and I would defend them if someone said that they were weird in a negative way.
