拷逼 can be 拷打逼脅
Example:「在拷逼之下，無奈劃押」

The question is : " can 「拷逼」 or「施重壓」replace " hold feet to the fire" in the same context?

"we have to (hold his feet to the fire) ,  then him will study hard ."
「我地要對佢嚴加拷逼，佢先會勤力讀書」
「我地要對佢嚴施重壓，佢先會勤力讀書」

And there's one way left - literal  translation :「擺對腳喺火上面」and presume  the reader would get the mental image and understand the subtext. 

「我地要擺佢對腳喺火上面，佢先會勤力讀書」


It apply to 「揾槍指住頭」for " hold a gun to (someone's) head" too
「我地要揾槍指住佢個頭，佢先會勤力讀書」

It is a hard one to translate.
